I had the pleasure to work with Campbell from 2019 when I arrived to Dubai up until 2021 in which I moved out from Menat region. Campbell was first of all very welcoming with me and we immediately were able to align objectives looking for the best of business. His experience also in Reg Affairs in the region helped me in my job to accelerate my learning. We confronted challenging situations in which we both worked as a team with clear objective of making the business understand the impacts and risks and making plans for any mitigation if necessary.
Having been engaged with quite literally hundreds of people in Quality Management over the years, Campbell has to be one of the most competent in all aspects of quality control; ranging from his knowledge of Statistical Process Control, to his delivery of Quality Compliance. His methodical approach to solving quality problems is unparalleled, but moreover, he shows strength in professionalism and his personality lends itself to someone who can be trusted.

I worked with Campbell at Almarai for 2 years (I was engaged as Product Development Manager 2009-
2011), however I was already aware of his reputation for building high performing teams and leadership skills
within the industry from his time at Goodman Fielder.
Campbell always demonstrated the highest level of skills and knowledge during customer and regulatory
audits but was peerless in his reputation amongst the international auditors of the various certification bodies. He
would the go-to person if they needed advice.

Campbell was chosen by Kerry to be the company lead on the development of PAS 320 – ‘food safety culture’

work on food safety culture across the industry globally.

within the organization and ensured the project was successful. It was widely accepted at the time by all that Campbell
delivered and was one of the best lead projects within Almarai. Peers and superiors would stop by and pick his brains on how
he achieved this.
Campbell was an instrumental member of the BSI PAS 320 “Developing and Maintaining a Mature Food Safety Culture”, a
vital standard for the food industry that supports organizations to continually improvement their food safety culture and
programs to make food safer. To be a member of the Steering Committee, he needed to not only have subject matter
expertise, but also the ability to focus on the goal and work within specific guidelines for standard development with a
diverse global group to build this framework.
Campbell is Managing Director of QUEST 4 FOOD FZCO, a consulting business registered with Dubai Silicon Oasis. Quest 4 Food has been contracted to consult full time on a Group Quality and Food Safety project for Tiger Brands, the largest listed F&B company in Africa. I have known Campbell for several years, during which we have interacted on food safety matters, including food safety culture and sustainability. This reflected on his passion for continuous learning, which is an essential trait to remaining relevant to rapid and constant changes in the food industry.
Campbell frequently shows his desire to succeed, even in a social capacity he often deflects the conversation to topics including ‘what we need to do is to implement an SPC solution in order to identify negative trends in our manufacturing processes.’ Or ‘there must be a solution, which encompasses the need to enhance manufacturing performance and quality improvement, so here’s what I think…’ In summary, I have known Campbell for the best part of 7 years and have also had the pleasure of meeting his
wife. He is honest, trustworthy and an excellent sounding board for new ideas.
